Z-FJE-departing-to-VFA-v2-350Fastjet, the low-cost major airline based in East and Southern Africa, has seen its operations transformed with the use of Centrik, the cloud-based operational management system from Total AOC.

With a fleet of five Airbus 319s, Fastjet operates from its hub at Dar es Salaam in Tanzania with flights to Uganda, Zimbabwe, Zambia and South Africa. It uses Centrik to manage all its operations, relieving pressure on management and allowing them to focus on growing and transforming the shape of African aviation.

Individual versions manage the AOCs in Tanzania and Zimbabwe, while a group version provides central oversight – crucial, given that Fastjet seeks to maintain consistent high standards across the group.

Centrik also facilitates a variety of other benefits for the international airline. For instance, the risk reporting functionality enables rapid analysis of trends – something which has led to the development of specific training programmes to deal with particular risks.

Furthermore, because Centrik can be used to share crucial information with regulators, Fastjet is well-placed to handle any audits, as well as using the information to potentially apply for additional AOCs in the future.
